As an environmentally conscious business, Create Design Print are always looking at ways our team can improve our printing services to contribute to a greener, more environmentally friendly future. Although the environment is now an issue on a global scale, we always want to make sure we are doing our best for the environment.
Our printing processes have been set up to guarantee we comply with all existing environmental legislation with ability to adapt to any future government requirements, and wherever possible we use FSC* or PEFC* accredited papers and boards.
Going green has been a hugely positive step for Create Design Print as an organisation. We minimise and recycle all materials whenever possible – all waste paper is collected and recycled, all printing plates are reused and all digital printing consumables are recycled too. We want to demonstrate to other printing organisations that it is possible to run a successful printing business in an environmentally conscious way.
Some of the procedures implemented include:
We make sure that our materials are environmentally sourced ensuring:
Supplying high quality printing services will always be our focus. We believe it is also important to consider the ways in which we operate. We’ve found going green has been a positive step for our business as well as being positive for the environment!
As part of our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint we are proud to be members of the Woodland Trust and the Woodland Carbon Scheme.
At Create Design Print we offer our customers and their clients the opportunity to capture the CO2 emissions from their paper purchases by planting native woodland, right here in the UK, through the Woodland Trust and the Woodland Carbon scheme.
When a customer places an order the amount of C02 generated in the production process is calculated. The most effective way to capture this carbon is to plant new young trees. Young trees use more carbon than established trees as they use it in their growth process.
The cost to buy and plant new trees is covered by us as we are committed to reducing C02 emissions from our practices and delivering sustainable print. This means our customers gain all of the benefits without any extra cost. When placing an order you may elect to capture the carbon from manufacture and distribution.
The Woodland Carbon logo may be used in conjunction with your order to demonstrate your commitment
to using reduced C02 paper which enhances your brand and reinforces your environmental message.
This is a positive for PR and customer relations exercises as well as leaving you with the knowledge that you have done something to help reduce your carbon footprint and mitigate your environmental impact.
